What to say about Caterina?, well, honest, I used to think (months ago) she was a good, remarkable and noteworthy model, I always thought that, nevertheless… yep, there was a “nevertheless”, I honestly thought there were few chances to feel something different from a rational esteem. But yes, I changed my mind, meanwhile a lot of things changed in fact, so here we are.

I’m so glad because of what she’s becoming, and for what she’s having the chance to do, really a lot. For a model like Caterina it would be such a shame to… months ago wondering what would have been of her career I mentioned Valerija Kelava, and – The point is: what’s going to happen with her? is Valerija in that Vogue Italia editorial something like “Caterina Ravaglia 5 years from now”? so is this model going to push hard on attitude, posing, stunning expressivity? Or express the soft cuteness she showed (for the record) pretty well so far? Maybe both? and at what levels?! I simply have no idea!

Well, some months passed, and we have some answers.

This editorial is a very good one, and if I have to tell what Caterina is, well, the first shot would be maybe the perfect compendium.

Captivating, haunting, somehow hypnotic, and… I love the amazing mix this shot represents, and Caterina too. Such a pale and delicate vision of beauty (imo: simply great). And… have you noticed that bright sky blue nail polish?, I love so much the effect it creates in the shoot, plus it’s at the same time a cool (hehe “cool” as opposed to warm) color and a delicate touch of freshness, simply perfect.

Caterina is only 16, and well, what she’s showing says out loud 1) she’s going to be pure longevity (for the kind of beauty she is, and because of how impeccable and flawless she can be), and 2), most important… have you seen her, “Caterina the girl”?, in fact she’s a 16 yo girl like others, for beauty and somehow sensations she transmits, but in front of a camera… she’s pure intensity, the adorable girl she is somehow comes out as well and meets an austere, calm and collected attitude and expressivity only few have, at least this way. “Pale bright sky blue nail polish” – as a whole a good metaphor, somehow an oxymoron, not the only version of Caterina, maybe the best, but so far probably the one I’m appreciating the most.
