Amber Anderson @ Eres Spring Summer 2012 campaign by Camilla Akrans – A feat of a neat treat

Since I did a post about her a little less than two months ago (@ Elle France March 2012 by Ben Watts, where like most of the times happens I simply adored here – here it is), and after all I explained quite well reasons why I like, adore and find her a remarkable and noteworthy model the way I do, well, this is going to be a quite little post after all. Something like, do you remember what I wrote about her?, do you have an idea of how bright, reassuring, reliable, mature yet fresh and delicately intriguing her beauty and attitude can be?, well, here the shots for Eres:

eresparis.com

Even if she doesn’t embody the kind of model I may personally prefer, well, Amber successfully demonstrates how a diversified concept of beauty is very welcome in fashion, and most important how being the quintessential expression of the kind of model you embody and represent is always welcome and noteworthy. Amber looks always convincing, her posing is solid and she always look comfortable, both because of that and of such an adorably bright yet always measured attitude (I find her an outstanding interpreter in fact) she’s always flawless and impeccable, she can be in lookbooks, editorials, in a quite wide range of different things in fact, and… well, as you can I wrote “always” quite often, and for the kind of model she is that’s such an important and essential word.

So, what else to say?, some recent shots confirmed what imo are some little limits she has (see her recent editorial @ Schon), but when she has the chance to express her best, and we talk about most of the jobs her kind of model may be asked to do, well, she’s a model you can count on upon trust – and always (yep, always…) such a marvelous delight, the way the welcome surprise of these neat shots have personally been (a feat of a neat treat in fact).

PS you won’t ever hear me use expressions like “real women”, as if girls like Josephine Skriver, Daphne Groeneveld, or Codie Young were fictitious or unreal (or a little more romantically, legendary and mythical creatures), so please don’t you even try to write me or just think something like “Oh, finally a real woman!”… that said, yep, if you want to make a couple of considerations about how reassuring, “girl next door” and “reader-friendly” her beauty is and how successful the result is not only in things like that editorial @ Elle France (March 2012 by Ben Watts) I already wrote about but in such a totally different shoot as well, ok, you’re welcome, and it’s a smart and clever point in fact… the way would be considerations like “Talking about Camilla Akrans, and a model she already had the chance to successfully shoot like Theres Alexandersson, how different would have been these neat shots with a model like the Swedish one?, what the choice of Amber tells us about Eres’ intensions?” – but please, please, don’t name part of the wide range of how beauty expresses itself and its wonderful diversity as “real women” ‘cause you won’t find somehow who will agree with you here… in fact now that I think about it I already had the chance to write a couple of words about it…
