I love Codie, and if you had the chance to see a couple of posts I did about her you should certainly have an idea of what I mean. But after all “love” doesn’t describe for the best the point, ‘cause in fact it’s about something I feel and rational considerations too. I mean, when you love a girl it’s about something you can’t completely explain, “you love her”, period; plus, Love looks not with the eyes but with the mind, and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind (the dear, unbearable wisdom of Shakespeare… but the fault isn’t his, after all his amazing works are all about some timeless sides of human nature), so no, we don’t talk about this (hehe wait, better: not only or especially).
No, if we talk for example about basketball, it’s more like being a fan of Kobe than of the Lakers, ‘cause to be a fan of a team means to be loyal to it whatever happens (hello people in Charlotte, and congrats for the second pick in the draft!), you are and after all you can’t do anything to change it (still talking about Lakers, even if that meant to say goodbye to Jackson and a little thing called “triangle offense”, not exactly that little in fact…), to love a player like Kobe is something you somehow have to do, whatever your team is. He’s unbelievable, he defines the game, and makes of it (like others, see… well, have you seen Rondo the other day?, but in his case the thing would be way more complicated…) such a wonderful show where amazing happens, so – he makes you love him because of what he does.
Codie?, exactly the same… and just like Kobe, it’s not a matter of context, of showing some things in some well-defined circumstances, she always gives you a good number of reasons to love her, and here we’ve got another very welcome example:
(you may have noticed those wonderful eyes for the first time because of the Vogue Australia October 2010 cover, and as you can see they’ll hardly lose even little part of their unique charm and fascinating appeal…)
stradivarius.com
(yes, her eyes, and… the marvelous hair, her body, her porcelain skin… wow; without forgetting, on another level, some unexpected flashes of sudden intensity)
What else to say?, once I underline again (I do it quite often, but people still give me the idea they don’t completely get it…) how to do things like these flawlessly and impeccably doesn’t have to be considered that easy, and even just to be a convincing commercial model (wait, Codie is waaay more than that, but I take the opportunity to say this too) is a very noteworthy and remarkable thing, well… really, what else to say? Shots like these certainly don’t propose some amazing contradictions she embodies and naturally expresses both on the runway and in other kind of shots, but the flawless, neat, delicate and graceful vision these shots are is undeniable, and Codie proposes herself in an immediate and genuinely fascinating dimension which has personally been very welcome. So yep, a lovely girl looking graceful and simply beautiful, and the umpteenth double-double of a wonderful career of spectacular highlights and always noteworthy and solid performances…
