+ Lucette van Beek @ Glamour Italy June 2012 by Laura Sciacovelli – Sensueel

First of all, now that I’m finishing the post and editing it a little it’s something like… 4:50, obviously am, and I’m watching NBA Finals in the dear old Europe: Thunder are trailing by 15, and there’s a huge disappointment right on my sleepy face…  btw ok the NBA Finals, but these days because of the European Football Championship and my being a huge fan of Netherlands I decided to post only about Dutch models, so right after Robin Hölzken and Patricia van der Vliet (please check the post about Patricia, at least ‘cause this way you’ll have the chance to know about the most amazing Dutch world: “Gezellig”… hehe *_*’), and before a simply wonderful Daphne Groeneveld (I guess tomorrow or on Sunday), the “Oranje Dagen” today will feature an astonishing young model from Heerlen. Yep, the marvelous city where you can find the Glaspaleis and the Pancratiuskerk next to each other fighting like King Kong vs Godzilla…

As I had the chance to write few days ago for Laragh McCann @ The Spellbound Magazine, “Don’t judge a book by its cover” in its more or less literal acceptations is always a good modus operandi, but sometimes the (more or less metaphorical) book reflects quite well its cover; its wonderful and fantastic cover. … And it’s not only about the cover in fact, of the magazine specifically, but the way a book, editorial in this case, opens as well:

I could have not found a better title for this editorial and generally to describe Lucette, “Sensuale” (“Sensual”), and since still in the middle of these “Oranje Dagen” I just decided to write it in Dutch.

Btw these shots are very interesting ‘cause they propose Lucette certainly in her quintessential dimension, highlighting for the best her astonishing body structure, the fascinating presence, but more important one of the things I find among the most interesting, noteworthy, and of course drop dead captivating: how she naturally expresses her being sensual, without the need of a flaunted, hackneyed or somehow awkward seduction after all.

And it’s not only about a captivating seduction after all, it’s about such a nonchalant and intrinsic (yet very powerful) intensity too, which generally confirms the same conclusion: with Lucette “Less is more” definitely is the best answer and solution possible; so far we had a good number of confirms, in negative too, but this editorial certainly represents one of the most successful and simply mesmerizing examples.

Thing quite clear, her body (1.75 – 83/65/90) helps a lot,

but fortunately there’s a lot more to say.

First of all, the way she poses and looks is simply flawless, as usual impeccable, thing that makes of her a solid and reliable option, and considering the above mentioned “Less is more” and generally the kind of model she embodies and represents such a solidity is not only important but an essential and vital must. From this point of view, what I loved of this editorial is the fact it offered a good compendium of what the ABC’s of a model like Lucette should be, and we talk about posing, some kind of confidence and attitude, a relatively wide range of things in fact:

And as you can see the Dutch model definitely didn’t fall short of expectations, rather quite the opposite.

Plus: if for a model like her, and we talk about those in the “Gorgeous, charming and confident goddesses” category (ok, I still don’t think runway is her best dimension, but not by chance Lucette walked shows like Emilio Pucci, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana or Francesco Scognamiglio, and she simply seemed to be in the best place possible for her – successfully confirming that category she clearly belongs to),

emilio pucci / versace

dolce & gabbana / francesco scognamiglio

(just for the record: her face @ Francesco Scognamiglio gives me a good opportunity to remind you her last season can somehow be compared to MJ’s famous “Flu game”… even if ok, without the same epic result…)

to have whatever I wrote about above, so a captivating beauty, a solid presence in front of a camera and the perfect attitude, if to have all those things is great, remarkable and noteworthy, well, a shot like this tells us something more.

I obviously don’t ask you to recognize her because of the body (even if with a trained eye you could after all), but look at those lips, and tell me they aren’t amazing and simply unforgettable. So yep, the point is one and quite simple: when a model like Lucette who quintessentially represents a “Gorgeous, charming and confident goddess” has some little recognizable trademarks that make her simply unique (the mouth is maybe the most clear, but her face offers some other interesting suggestions, see for example the little beauty spot right beside her left eye, which I literally love…), well, what to say?, jackpot.

All that said, there’s space for a final consideration, so the one concerning how evident longevity for a model like her is, and how time will certainly be a welcome and positive factor considering how it will refine and mature her fascinating femininity and seductive beauty. So yep, if this is the present, the future will be even more astonishingly spectacular… can you believe it?
