This post is going to be very short, but… it’s one of those cases a shot, an image, a cover specifically, is after all a good excuse or interesting pretext for something else. What in this case? The wonderful Rianne ten Haken.

What I can say is… first of all, I’ve simply been very glad to see her on this cover, Vogue Netherlands is featuring a lot of (very) interesting Dutch models, new faces especially but not only (from this point of view: ok Josefien Rodermans, ok Romee Strijd or the little but personally unforgettable presence of someone like Svea Kloosterhof in the first issue, and ok so on in that same direction, but – how happy I am to see Nina Aurora –Reijnders- will be in the September issue?! For the record really really a lot…), and to see her too (in the May issue as well) has been very welcome.
That sad – for the kind of model she is Rianne is like a bottle of full-bodied, complex and well structured red wine, refined like few others, and with the same aging potential. Now 26, she’s more than ever drop dead gorgeous (a simply breathtaking body certainly helps), charming, fascinating and elegantly seducing. Plus: her face is unique and at the same time the expression of such a crystal clear and reliable beauty, blooming with fierce intensity, and yet there’s space for such a delicate graceful grace she naturally embodies and express with disarming ease. Really, if longevity for a model like her was easily predictable, more specifically time is now giving Rianne the opportunity to express her best, and do it in such an astonishing way. The way she certainly will for a long time to come.
