First of all, there’s Team USA vs. Lithuania, and since I can’t really miss it and later I have other things to do… well, I don’t know what will come out writing the post and watching the game on TV, we’ll see, hopefully something decent… wait: and consider meanwhile I’d like to take a look at Women’s 3 meter springboard semifinal and the spectacular Wu Minxia too (I’m a fan of Tania Cagnotto, but Wu sometimes is simply from another planet)… yep, such a mess… ;)

Then – I don’t know exactly why, but these days I’m thinking of Samantha Gradoville quite often. I mean, I haven’t happened to meet her, it’s not because of some particularly outstanding news, ‘cause ok, I quite like editorials where she lately appeared, but… let’s say nothing I actually loved to death. Nevertheless, as I said I’m thinking of her quite often, and certainly because she’s a model I like really a lot. Why?

Well, these shots won’t answer the question, but will certainly give me a good opportunity to show one of the reasons why adore her, which will somehow bring us to… to something else we’ll see below. Now: time for the shots @ Schön!:

Well, not so much to say, in fact I underlined the point in the last post I did something like a month ago about her @ Goodwood Summer 2012, so… well, here a copy & past of good part of the post, I simply don’t think to find slightly different words would have any sense:

Born in Omaha, Nebraska (that I just found twinned with Šiauliai… can you believe it?) on January 1, 1990 (what a wonderful way to start the year and the decade…), this stunning American model perfectly embodies and represents one of the most abused words in the world: gorgeous. But really, her case is one of the few where the word is simply the best one possible, and better Samantha quintessentially represents and embodies it like few others can.

The astonishing body, the beauty, and then the point is especially the one that justifies a short post after all, so something so astonishing, crystal clear and manifestly breathtaking to be simply self-evident – and she does it with such a disarming delicate nonchalant naturalness. In fact if you had the luck to meet her (or just see one of her interviews) she’s literally blooming with adorable grace, and that naïve sweet aura totally comes out, proposing a beauty at the same time alluring, fascinating, appealing and marvelously radiant. Plus, she’s such an astonishing model, solid and reliable like few others (back to some little limits, if she’s not misrepresented, obvious).

That’s that, and fortunately it’s marvelously plain to see…

So yep, points are two, better three maybe, so 1) the “marvelously plain to see” chapter, and we talk about a stunning beauty and striking body, then 2) how successfully seductive she can be, in this editorial more than in the one @ Goodwood she perfectly played the archetypal “femme fatale” role, here clearly more sexually provocative, and finally 3) the reason why I really love her, so what I wanted to focus on when I wrote “if you had the luck to meet her (or just see one of her interviews) she’s literally blooming with adorable grace, and that naïve sweet aura totally comes out, proposing a beauty at the same time alluring, fascinating, appealing and marvelously radiant”. I know, the thing isn’t exactly the point of this shots, but whenever I can underline this peculiar, unique and so so marvelous side of her is personally I gladly do it.

So – what to say? As you can see, first of all any opportunity to write about Samantha is just… you know, it’s practically impossible to be disappointed, and I like to underline it as a person who generally doesn’t love this kind of seduction and shots (and why not?, woman as well if you want…). But… the shots always (always) look great and flawless, she’s always so fascinating and the depth of field she can play and propose this otherwise quite trite part is amazingly deep and surprisingly variegated. Conclusion? The conclusion is: I love her, I hope to see her is something else, it doesn’t matter “where” but talking about “what” in something a little more multifaceted and focused on the sexy / graceful dichotomy she can marvelously embody like anyone else, and… well, if it won’t be possible, like these shots clearly demonstrate the result won’t look that bad anyway.
